Step 1: Sit in a chair with both feet flat on the floor and your ankles underneath your knees and take a few natural breaths.
Step 2: Notice that you have two feet resting on the floor. Lift your toes up slightly and wiggle them for a few seconds. Relax your toes. Focus on one foot.
Step 3: Scan your awareness through the bottom of the foot for a few seconds while sensing the pressure, temperature, and vibration. Repeat the scan on your other foot.
Step 4: Stand up slowly and feel the sensations as your weight shifts. Sit back down. Continue to just be aware of your feet throughout the day – when walking, sitting, driving.
