You will want to find a quite place where you will be undisturbed and can sit in an upright position. While it is possible to lie down for certain types of meditations that are more relaxation focused, in most cases if you are lying down you will fall asleep. This is fine and is likely a sign that you may need more sleep. However, sitting upright will help you experience the full benefits of the meditation. Some possible locations include:

1. Bedroom (prop yourself up in bed or sit on a pillow or cushion in your closet)
2. Bathroom (sit in the bathtub without water or the toilet – lid closed)
3. Office (chair or sitting on a cushion on floor with back against a wall)
4. Car (before you leave or once you arrive at your destination)
